Pup Scouts was developed to give kids and their dogs a place to learn obedience and have fun. The founder of Pup Scouts, Holly Furgason, realized that most professional trainers in the Houston area didn’t work with children and, if they did, it was only in classes that were developed for adults.

Using her background in enrichment education, Holly developed games and exercises that taught children the way they learn best. She also knew that positive reinforcement techniques were as successful with children as with dogs. Amazed at how well children could handle dogs, she continued to refine her program.
